
‘Jaigarh: A Stimulus for the Evolution of the Jaipur Landscape' is a curated exhibition showcasing students’ work from a research-based studio titled ‘Private Property | Public Property: The Complicated Nature of Architectural Heritage in India’. The studio, conducted as part of the Masters in Architectural History (MAHR) program at the Faculty of Architecture, CEPT University, delves into the multifaceted history of Jaigarh Fort. Through eight distinct themes, the exhibition reveals the role of the fort as a strategic edifice embedded in a dynamic landscape shaped by political ambition, social relationships, economic innovation, technical ingenuity, and architectural precision.
The studio was led by Riyaz Tayyibji ( @riyaztayyibji )and Kairavi Maniar ( @kairavi_24 ) in collaboration with the Center for Heritage Conservation (CHC), CRDF. It was supported by the Jaigarh Public Charitable Trust (JPCT) under their MoU with CHC-CRDF for the Sustainable Conservation of the Jaigarh Fort Precinct. This exhibition is a part of the Jaigarh Heritage Festival and will be on display from 28th to 29th December at Jaigarh Fort.
