Tankshal ni Pol Masjid - Safeguarding the Site School - Phase 1 & 2

The safeguarding of Tankshal-ni-Pol Masjid took place in two phases.

Phase 1 (January 2021)

Phase 1 commenced with the clearance of debris, identification of vulnerable areas, and an investigation of the requirements for the structure’s safeguarding process. The first set of safeguarding materials for the site (metal props, F frames, U-jacks, bracing members, wooden planks, and timber wall plates) were generously donated by Mr. Pavan Bakeri. They were brought to the site on January 3, 2021.

Activities undertaken were that of safeguarding the site using props, placing the Site School placard at the entrance, and collecting voices from the community around.

Phase 2 (June 2021)

Phase 2 prepared the site for the upcoming monsoon season. Weak walls were strutted and the roof was covered to tackle excessive water ingress.
